The year 2018 comes with exciting news from us. Behind Message in a Bottle you will find our little publishing start-up called Blueberry & Pie, and this year Kiki and our family will be joined by all new characters.
Please meet – DeeDee.
She’s the star of our new book-set, DeeDee Discovers Fruits & Vegetables, which will help inspire healthy eating habits in kids.
Together a nutritionist, we are creating this book-set to help families embrace positive food association in a playful and engaging way.
We want to make discovering the powers of fruits and vegetables FUN.
What makes this project truly effective and unique, is that DeeDee combines the proven power storytelling with learning through play.
Here’s how:
Here’s the set
DeeDee Discovers Fruits & Vegetables is a book-set comprising of the storybook Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Lunch? and the discovery book The Secret Power of Food.
Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Lunch? tells the story of DeeDee, who sets on an adventure to defeat a monster in the kitchen and discovers the secret powers of fruits and vegetables.
Our discovery book The Secret Power of Food will take your child’s new found interest in fruits and vegetables to the next level. Filled with fun stories, experiments and challenges, your child will experience fruits and vegetables through games and play.
The discovery book also contains healthy recipes that you can prepare with your child for the entire family.
We need your help
The book-set is almost complete. What we need help with is to fund the printing.
That’s why we’re launching our book set on Kickstarter this Saturday, January 27th.
Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. It’s the place where you can help important and inspiring projects come to life by backing them.
You can help us simply by pre-ordering your book-set on Kickstarter. Our Early bird offer gives you a 25% discount on the regular price of the book-set.
DeeDee Discovers book–set is meant to be a practical tool for parents to tackle the problem of picky eaters. Through positive association and fun activities we can encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables.
We know first-hand how powerful storytelling and learning through play can be.
It works!
